We had only 2 nights here so we only had one day of sight-seeing but we packed a lot into it! We drove around town and then saw the Chesapeake Bay Bridge and Tunnel road so we decided to drive across it in the car just for fun! It is a 17 mile long highway of bridges and tunnels that crosses the Chesapeake Bay. There are two tunnels and they are each 1 mile long. Just before the first tunnel is a viewing area and fishing pier as well as gift shop and restaurant. It gives you a funny feeling to look back to where you came from and see the long bridge and then look to where your going and see nothing but water! Here is a slide show of what we saw!
After our drive we spent the afternoon walking the boardwalk of Virgina and we had dinner in town there. There were some children having a soccer practice on the beach!
