Truro, Nova Scotia

When we got up this morning it was raining but by time we showered and had breakfast it stopped so Ernest quickly did his "manly jobs" of dumping the sewer and putting away the water hose and power cords. I did the "womanly jobs" tidying up inside and storing the satellite dish (one button to push, ha ha) then we connected the car to the motor home and left.

We had a short drive to Truro and were there just before lunch time. After lunch we went into town and looked at the "wood carvings". They are made from Elm trees that were dying from "Elm Disease". After a stop at TIM HORTON'S where I had two coffees we went to see the "Tidal Bore". It was interesting to see the river flowing in one direction and then a wave of water come up river and change the flow of the river. We watched as the river raised, and then the sand bar and rocks disappeared. I will add some photos of this but I do not know if you will see the changes.

This is the river flowing its natural way to the ocean, it is flowing from the right to the left side of this photo. Now the rocks are almost gone as the water flow is reversed (flowing from the left to the right side of photo) and the river is rising with the ocean tide. This photo shows the sand (mud!?) bar and then in the next photo it is gone, (coverd by the rising water)
