Jen and Ken were busy so we took Keeli and Kiana to their year end Family Fun Night at school. Our weather has not been very good but we were lucky and it was a nice warm evening. The girls had fun with their friends and Keeli won a "cherry pie" in the "Cake Walk"! Ernest was bidding on some "silent auction" stuff and he came home with 2 nice hockey prints. After the games were over we took the kids out for hamburgers. It was a fun night and we all enjoyed it. Here are some photos of girls playing.........

April 5th, Brayden and Keelis' Birthday Celebration!
Here are a few photos taken at Marnie and Brads', it is celebrating Brayden and Keelis' birthday! We gave Brayden cash as that always seems to work and is never taken back or exchanged, ha ha ha! For Keeli we bought her a ticket to see High School Musical in Vancouver, we also gave Rayven, Mikayla, and Kiana their birthday gifts early because they were also tickets to High School Musical. What a fun night we had, thank you Brad and Marnie!

We are HOME!
Just a quick note to say we are home and enjoying the granddaughters....I have not seen our only grandson yet! It is his birthday dinner today so we will be over at Brad's house for that. Keeli, Kiana and Mikayla had a sleep-over here last night. Marnie and Jen and I went to bingo and Papa entertained the girls....they played connect 5 and watched girly shows on TV. Well that is about all for now.....

Yuma news....
I guess I should write a bit on this blog or everyone will think I have stopped it. We are enjoying Yuma and now it is finally warm here, high 70's. We have had a couple camp fires over at the Doonan's and also at the Fruit's. There also has been some excellent music a variouse places. Ernest has been golfing 2 or 3 times a week and his game seems to be back where it should be, last year after being sick it he was off his game a bit. I do have some photos and when I download them I will post them for you to see.
I am missing the family back at home, between our schedual here and their busy life there I seem to miss phone calls. Oh well soon we will be home again. We plan on leaving here at the end of March.

Soon we will be land owners in Yuma!
Well it has been a few weeks since my last post. We have been busy as always here in Yuma. Jean and Jill were here for a few days and we really enjoyed our time with them. Ernest has been golfing two and three times a week so he is happy. We have gone to the casinos a few times and have been to a couple Happy Hour Parties.
The living room has a sofa that makes into a bed and there are two other chairs. It has a corner cabinet where they have a small TV. We plan on getting a small " flat screen" TV and mount it on the wall.

We Arrived IN Yuma!
Well we made it to Yuma, our propane froze the first day travelling. We do not know if it was Yuma propane that we bought in April or the propane we bought that day in Orville Washington. Anyway we had no heat, the stove did not stay on and fridge would not light (it gave a reading of no fuel). We stayed in the Best Western in Omak, had a nice room with two queen beds and they had a hot contental breakfast included. Ernest drained our fresh water tank so it would not freeze overnight.
The next day we drove to Pendleton Oregon, the road was bare all the way and it was part sun and part cloudy day. When we got to the Wildhorse Casino our propane had thawed and the stove and furnace was working once again. The fridge still said no fuel. It was New Years Eve and the casino had a nice Buffet with “CRAB LEGS” and other seafood as well as “PRIME RIB”. We stayed in the motor home that night but in the morning the propane was frozen again and nothing worked. We had set the heat at 60 and it never came on but we were not cold in bed and actually the room was not very cold when we got up. We turned on the generator and made toast, and hot chocolate for breakfast.
The road from Pendleton to Jack Pot Nevada was very good. The pass just south of Pendleton was clear and dry but just by Baker we had some blowing snow on the road. It was funny to see, but not to drive in. The road was clear and dry and the snow was blowing across the road, it looked about a foot high from the road surface. The road was 2 lanes and had a wide shoulder so there was no problem staying on the road, but at times it was hard to see the lines. This went on for about 5 miles, it was also very windy there so Ernest went very slow…… We stayed in Catcus Petes Casino that night, again a nice room and a great dinner.
Jackpot to Las Vegas was a nice drive, the roads were good and there was not much wind. We were in Vegas just after 3 and I checked the furnace and it worked fine as well as the stove, the fridge still said “no fuel’….hmmmm…… We went out and washed the car, had dinner at Olive Garden and the hit a casino for a few hours.
The trip from Vegas to Yuma was nice, we have a feeling of coming home when we go to Yuma. It is exciting to see Irene and Aki again as well as all our friends who winter in Yuma. Now it is time for golfing, shopping, happy hours and just having fun!

Snowing Tonight
It just started to snow now, they say it will snow tonight and tomorrow....We took Kiana and Keeli to feed the bunnies (we have wild bunnies in town by Orchard Park). We took some photos but I have not downloaded them yet. We fed them carrots, apples, and some green beans....one way of using up old produce from the fridge. After we fed the bunnies we went to feed ourselves at "Wendy's". It was nice to visit with the girls, probably the last outing with them before we leave for Yuma. If I get the photos downloaded I will post them here later. We put another load of food into the motor home fridge today and I am still gathering cloths and computer stuff to take on the trip....yuk, I hait packing.....
