Pat & Art's New Lot and New Kitchen!

Friends Pat and Art bought this lot at the end of last season in Yuma, they worked hard to get the Casita and Kitchen ready and this was a big party celebrating the finished project. The BBQ Beef was superb. What a fun night, not only did we have music we also seemed to find some "stand up comics" and even if the jokes were not that funny the men telling them were!

Carol & John's Happy Hour

I can not do a blog for every happy hour but I am doing the special ones! Carol and John just bought this lot with a nice park model on it this year, they are thinking of selling their other lot. We had a great time here and of course it turned into a dinner, lots of good food here! Happy Anniversary you two!

Ernest & Jake's Fish Fry

We brought some Halibut from home that Ernest caught last summer so when Jake wanted to do the annual fish fry we added Halibut and Salmon to the menu. The men deep fried battered shrimp and halibut and I BBQ'd the salmon. We had over 30 people for dinner, and we did all the meal instead of having it pot luck!

Liz's Birthday

Today we are celebrating Liz's birthday and also including others who have a birthday in March! We had snacks and then Jake ordered Pizza for us all! It was a fun time once again on the "Derknakasen" Patio!

Sidewinder!!!

Our neighbors Edna and Wayne had a visitor one day, a sidewinder snake was on their door step! We have some photos of it in a jar! After giving everyone a look, Wayne gave it to Vern and he took it into the desert on his quad and then let it go!

Josie & Jack's Valentine's Party

We are all in "red" for this party! Jack and Josie have a beautiful house here in the foothills and we always have lots of fun at their parties.

The Golden Knights...United States Army Parachute Team

We had a great afternoon watching the Golden Knights practice hitting their mark! It was nice to sit on grass after all the rock and sand we have in the foothills of Yuma. After the show we went for a drive to get a "date shake" yummy!!!! Then we even had a casino stop, just for a half hour but it was fun!! Another great day spent in Arizona!

Hilda & Henry's Mardi Gras Party

A fun Happy Hour and Pot Luck Dinner at Hilda and Henry's. Pete and Phil played for us again and what a wonderful time we all had. Here are a few snaps of the people dressed up. Irene and Aki won for best couple!

Ernest's Birthday

We just had a small happy hour for Ernest's birthday, twenty eight friends came over. After dinner a few us went out for dinner at a Japanese Shushi Smorg. It is hard to believe he is 63 already! Looking at the photos I took all I have are girls in the photos, I did not take any of the men....except for Henry is in the group photo because he was wearing my visor so he said he was a lady today! See him behind Irene! Sue was busy when I took the group photo of Ernest and the girls so I had to take a special on of him and her together!

New Years Eve

New Years Eve was hosted by Jeff and Char, we had a pot luck dinner with Jeff''s "BBQ BRISKET" as our main dish. We were lucky in the fact that the wind died down and we could visit around the fire pits quite comfortably.
